I believe that the best camera is the one you enjoy carrying and can rely on in the field. My equipment is deliberately compact, weather-sealed and robust, allowing me to spend more time outdoors and to carry it comfortably on longer walks, mountain hikes and journeys by public transport. Micro Four Thirds has proved to be particularly well suited to the way I photograph. Its combination of portability, excellent image stabilisation and high-quality telephoto lenses allows me to work handheld in situations where I would otherwise need considerably larger equipment or a tripod.
